I need to rescind a previous review. I mistakenly complained about my custom rug quickly fading after being outside for a very short time. Sisal Rugs contacted me & told me I had incorrectly ordered an indoor rug. They then went above and beyond & sent me the same custom rug but for outdoors at no charge! I will continue to do business with them & would highly recommend to others.

how many inches does a wide border add

Borders are lapped over the edge and sewn on - they do not add to the rug measurements. The Wide border shows 1-1/4" on the face of the rug.

Do you need a rug pad for this rug?

You do not need to use a pad as rugs are latex backed. Pads will help prolong the life of the rug and add extra cushion.

What’s the difference between a rug and a runner?

There’s no difference between a rug and a runner—both refer to the same product. For example, a 24" x 5' runner is the same as a 2' x 5' rug. Feel free to order using whichever term or size format you prefer—either way, you'll receive the same custom-made piece.
