Will this rug work on a dock during whole summer exposed to wind, rain, sun? Does it have to have rug pad or does that create a tripping hazard on a dock? Is rug pad as durable? Can I get a sample of Driftwood? Thank you!

The rug is made to be left exposed to the elements. It does not have a backing and a pad is recommended to keep from slipping. The Attached Outdoor pad is the best option. Rug is very durable. Order a sample by clicking the 'Free Sample' tab.

What’s the difference between a rug and a runner?

There’s no difference between a rug and a runner—both refer to the same product. For example, a 24" x 5' runner is the same as a 2' x 5' rug. Feel free to order using whichever term or size format you prefer—either way, you'll receive the same custom-made piece.

Does the rug measurement include the border trim?

Yes, the listed dimensions include the border trim. The border is sewn over the edge of the rug, so it’s part of the overall measured width.
